Artist's Description
I'm just a teeny bit sad right now... I love the Autumn weather... crisp, cool days with the anticipation of the upcoming holidays in the air... alas, the cooler weather also means that my beloved roses will be going away for a while.
These lovely red miniature roses are growing in front of my mom and dad's house. When they bloom, the entire bush turns into a mass of gorgeous red flowers.
When I took pictures of them a few weeks ago, these tiny little rosebuds caught my eye. Five of them seem to be excitedly gathered around the one in the center of the picture... they must be waiting for the one at centerstage to burst into glory at any moment... even the thorns underneath aren't going to hold it back from showing off its beauty!
To the right of the photo, a fully bloomed rose is showcased with a bokeh effect. Yes... I have a fondness for bokeh, so that made the photo an even bigger winner in my book.
